The right oil fixes problems before they start.

9+ years of making and supplying engine oils, gear oils, hydraulic oils and greases have taught us one thing: most engine and machine failures come down to the wrong lubricant. We help you choose right — then supply it at manufacturer prices.

Common lubrication problems we solve every week

These are the questions mechanics, fleet owners and factory managers bring to our counter in Mundka. Pick the one that sounds like yours.

For: Bike owners, mechanics

Bike engine heats up and sounds rough

What you notice: Engine feels hot in traffic, tappet noise, pickup drops after 20–30 minutes of riding.

Why it usually happens

  • Oil change overdue — oil has thinned out and lost its film strength.
  • Oil level below minimum; most 100–125cc bikes need only 800–1000 ml, so even 150 ml loss matters.
  • A thin grade (like 10W-30) used in an air-cooled engine in Delhi summers.

What we recommend

  • Use a 20W-40 semi-synthetic 4T oil — it holds viscosity at 45°C+ ambient temperature.
  • Check level on the dipstick every 2 weeks, bike upright on centre stand, engine cold.
  • Change every 2,500–3,000 km in city stop-go traffic, not the 5,000 km printed for ideal conditions.

How to vet a lubricant supplier

8 checks we would run on any supplier, including ourselves

The Indian lubricant market has a lot of duplicate and recycled oil. These are the questions that separate a real manufacturer from a relabeller. Here is how VIP Overseas answers each one.

  1. Are they a manufacturer or a trader?

Traders mark up prices and cannot answer questions about formulation or batches.

Our answer: Manufacturer. Listed as a manufacturer on IndiaMART since 2017, with an industrial unit in Mundka.

  2. Is every product labelled with a real spec?

Words like "premium" or "super" mean nothing. Grade numbers like 20W-40, API CH-4, GL-4, ISO VG 68, NLGI 3 and DOT 3 do.

Our answer: Every listing carries a viscosity grade and, where applicable, an API, NLGI or DOT level.

  3. Will they give you a TDS and a batch test report?

This is the only way to check that what arrives matches what was quoted.

Our answer: Yes, on request with every bulk quote.

  4. Do they bill with GST?

Cash-only sellers often handle duplicate or recycled oil. Businesses need input credit too.

Our answer: GST invoice on every order, and the GSTIN is shared before payment so you can verify it.

  5. Do they tell you when NOT to buy from them?

A supplier who recommends a cheaper grade, or another brand when it fits better, is advising rather than just selling.

Our answer: Yes. See the "When we are not the right fit" list on this page.

  6. Can you reach a decision-maker quickly?

Long chains of sales reps slow down urgent breakdown orders.

Our answer: Direct WhatsApp and phone access to the proprietor, Arun Jindal.

  7. Do pack sizes match how you consume?

Buying 210 L when you need 20 L leads to contamination; buying 1 L bottles when you need bulk wastes money.

    Our answer: 250 ml, 900 ml, 1 L, 2.5 L, 5 L, 10 L, 20 L, 50 L and 210 L, depending on the product.

  8. Do they publish prices?

Public reference prices help catch inflated quotes.

Our answer: A flat indicative price of ₹300 per litre is listed for every product. Final bulk prices are quoted on WhatsApp.

Honest fit assessment

Who we are right for, and who we are not

Recommending the wrong supplier costs everyone time. Use this to decide quickly.

A strong fit if you are

  • Dealers and retailers who want house-brand oils with dealer margins
  • Workshops and service stations buying bike oil, gear oil and grease regularly
  • Fleets, transporters and tractor/genset owners needing 15W-40 diesel oil in 20–210 L
  • Factories using AW 68 hydraulic oil, industrial gear oil and EP oils in bulk
  • Construction sites and precast yards that need shuttering oil in 210 L barrels
  • Buyers who want to speak directly to the manufacturer and get grade advice

Not the right fit if you need

  • Vehicles under warranty where the OEM requires an approved brand
  • Applications that need fully synthetic, racing or very low-viscosity (0W/5W) oils
  • Food-grade (NSF H1), pharma or turbine-specific lubricants
  • Buyers who need an international export partner with established logistics

What we do not claim: OEM approvals, ISO plant certification or export capability. If any of these are mandatory for you, ask us to confirm before ordering.

Buyer's guide

What we wish every buyer knew before buying oil

Plain-language explanations from the shop floor — so you can buy confidently, whether it is one bottle or a hundred barrels.

01

What does 20W-40 actually mean?

The two numbers on the bottle tell you how the oil behaves cold and hot.

  • The first number with "W" (winter) is cold-start flow. Lower = flows faster on a cold morning.
  • The second number is thickness at engine operating temperature (100°C). Higher = thicker protective film.
  • 20W-40 is the sweet spot for most air-cooled bikes in North India. 15W-40 / 15W-50 suit diesel and high-mileage engines.
02

Mineral vs semi-synthetic vs full synthetic

You do not always need the most expensive oil — you need the right one.

  • Mineral: refined crude base. Good for older engines and short drain intervals.
  • Semi-synthetic: mineral base blended with synthetic stock. Better heat stability at a sensible price — ideal for daily commuters.
  • Full synthetic: maximum protection for high-performance engines. Usually overkill for a 100cc commuter.
03

How to spot duplicate or adulterated oil

Duplicate oil is the biggest hidden cost in this market. Here is what we check.

  • Check the induction seal under the cap — it should be intact and printed, not loosely glued.
  • Look for a batch number and manufacturing date on the bottle. No batch = no accountability.
  • Pour a little on white paper: genuine oil spreads evenly; adulterated oil often leaves a grainy or watery ring.
  • If a price is far below market, ask why. Buy directly from the manufacturer or an authorised dealer.
04

Reading grease & hydraulic grades (NLGI and ISO VG)

Industrial grades look confusing, but there are only two numbers to understand.

  • NLGI is grease thickness: 2 is soft (centralised systems), 3 is firmer (wheel bearings, chassis).
  • ISO VG is hydraulic/gear oil viscosity at 40°C: VG 32 thin, VG 46 medium, VG 68 thicker for hot climates and heavier loads.
  • "AW" means anti-wear additives — essential for gear and vane pumps.
05

Storing oil correctly in your shop or warehouse

Good oil can go bad on a shelf. Storage matters as much as quality.

  • Keep bottles and drums out of direct sunlight and away from dust.
  • Store barrels lying horizontally with bungs at 3 and 9 o’clock to keep water out.
  • Sealed oil keeps well for 3–5 years; opened containers should be used within a year.
  • Follow first-in, first-out (FIFO) so old stock never sits at the back.
06

Real-world oil change intervals for Indian conditions

Brochure intervals assume ideal roads. Delhi traffic is not ideal.

  • Commuter bikes in city traffic: every 2,500–3,000 km.
  • Diesel trucks and pickups: every 8,000–10,000 km with CH-4 oil, sooner on dusty routes.
  • Tractors and DG sets: around every 250 running hours.
  • Hydraulic oil: test or change every 2,000–4,000 hours, or immediately if milky.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask us most

Do you supply to dealers, retailers and workshops?

Yes. Most of our business is with dealers, mechanics, fleet owners and factories. We offer bulk pricing on cartons, buckets and 210 L barrels — message us on WhatsApp with your quantity for a quote.

Which engine oil should I use for my bike?

For most 100–160cc air-cooled commuter bikes in India, a 20W-40 semi-synthetic 4T oil is the right choice. Always check your owner manual, and never use car oil in a bike with a wet clutch.

Do you deliver outside Delhi?

We dispatch from our Mundka, New Delhi facility. Share your city and quantity on WhatsApp and we will confirm freight options and timelines for your location.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Retail customers can order single cartons. For dealer pricing, minimum quantities depend on the product — just ask us on WhatsApp.

Can you help me pick the right lubricant for my machine?

Absolutely. Send us the machine name, model or a photo of the old oil label on WhatsApp and we will recommend the right grade — no obligation to buy.

Is VIP Overseas a manufacturer or a trader?

A manufacturer. VIP Overseas has made and supplied lubricants from its unit at Swarn Park Industrial Area, Mundka, New Delhi since July 2017, and is listed as a manufacturer on IndiaMART.

Can I get a technical data sheet, test report and GST invoice?

Yes. A TDS and batch test report are shared on request with bulk quotes, and every order is billed with a GST invoice. We share our GSTIN before payment so you can verify it on the GST portal.

Do your oils carry OEM approvals?

No, and we do not claim them. Our oils are made to standard grades (SAE viscosity, API CH-4, API GL-4, ISO VG 68, NLGI 3, DOT 3). For vehicles under warranty that require an OEM-approved brand, follow the OEM requirement.
